You are looking for any leaks, kinks, cracks, or disconnected lines. The next step is to compare the DEF pressure and the DEF Air pressure to the ambient air pressure, or better known as the barometric pressure.

If they are within 4 PSI of the ambient air pressure, they are reading correctly. This step requires that you own a computer based diagnostic tool to run this command.

What you are looking for is to see if the DEF fluid comes out of the pump return outlet during test procedure. If it does not, we proceed to the next step. As you run the command, you are watching the DEF aerosol line outlet on the metering unit. If not, reconnect the aerosol line and proceed to the next step.

First part of this test is to deflate the air bladder completely. You then need to regulate your shop air pressure to 55 PSI, and re-inflate the air bladder to PSI through the Schrader valve as shown in the image to the right. In order for this command to run properly, the following criteria must be met:.

Once those criteria are met, you would remove the DEF nozzle from the after treatment device and place it in a beaker. You then run the command, and see how many milliliters are dispensed. You are wanting between mL and mL 3. If you are within those specifications, continue to the next step. If you are not, Detroit requests that you contact their call center at for further instructions.

If you still have not found any issues at this point, the next step is to perform a Diesel Particulate Filter DPF Regeneration using a diagnostic tool. Again, as in previous steps, you will need a computer based diagnostic tool to do this. Once the regen command starts, you want to monitor the NOx conversion efficiency. If it does and the regen completes with no additional fault codes, the truck is completed and should be released to the customer.

If it does not, Detroit Diesel asks that you contact them at Tyler Robertson is the Founder, Owner, and President of www. Started inDieselLaptops.Log in or Sign up. Find Trucking Jobs. Oct 11, 1. Have a low miles, very clean truck throwing this code for a month now. Have went thru and followed all diag instructions per international service manual. EGR valve was replaced. TCWC2 works good, no sticking, no binding, solenoid is not leaking.

Called and spoke with the local dealer and they said when they see this code they replace the IMP intake manifold pressure sensor and if still has the issue the remove both turbos to clean carbon off from them, Anyone else run into this before? Oct 11, 3. Turbo "coking" is very common and can cause slow or lazy boost build.

This is caused from the closed crank case breather system that reintroduces crankcase gases back into the intake elbow right before the low pressure turbo. There is always some combustion by-products in this, and basically blow by gases which condense and burn oil and fuel gases in the turbo housings and gums them up.

This also blows this gunk into the air to air and can also clog that too. Take your air to air hoses off and inspect the inlet to the air to air and see if oil coking has blocked off most of the air to air.

Find Trucking Jobs. Engine code Jan 16, 1. I have a Pete with a Paccar PX-8 engine. Truck runs fine but check engine lite on. Retrived code It lists 6 possible causes. I tried a parked REGN but will not regn. I added aprox 8 gallons of new DEF to the tank. Any help or direction to start greatly appriciated Thanks. If it is, clean it out very carefully, the stuff gets hard and it takes some time to pick it all out without damaging the doser valve. They say to use a brass wire brush, but that doesn't work so well if it's thick. I use a pick very carefully, then a brass wire brush to finish it up.

That's the most common cause of that fault. Contaminated DEF is the second most common cause. You can't check NOx sensors without Insite. They are what Cummins calls "intelligent devices", which basically means they they are there own little ECM and transmit information to the main ECU over the data link. It's possible that a NOx sensor could fail in a way that wont set a code for the NOx sensor, but I have yet to see that happen. When they start to fail, you usually get a Drifted High fault for the failing sensor.

That's about all I can thing of off the top of my head that you can do without Insite. GrapeApeJan 16, Jan 16, 3. SCR NOx efficiency conversion low. Either your DEF quality is bad too old, watered down, some one put diesel in the wrong tank or the nozzle is getting plugged up, crystallized. Seeing as you just put fresh stuff in, if it was too low, some trucks the code will only reset itself after three successful starts of the engine. The FMI may indicate that a problem with an electronic circuit or an electronic component has been detected.

The FMI may also indicate that an abnormal operating condition has been detected. The failure mode of the DTC is determined by evaluating the electronic signal from the suspect circuit. The failure mode identifiers can be divided into two categories:.

157/ FUEL RAIL PRESSURE TOO LOW

Codes that indicate that a problem with an electronic circuit or an electronic component has been detected. Typically, the first category of code is generated when the signal for the circuit is outside the range of the sensor.

The second category of code indicates that the sensor signal is OK, but the signal is outside the normal operating range of the parameter. Refer to the troubleshooting guide for the specific product.

The troubleshooting guide procedure will help determine the root cause of a DTC. You must be logged in to post a comment. Find Trucking Jobs. Dec 13, 1. Driver called me about his Maxxforce 13 auto has low power. Ran it all day and it now has a cel and low power.

He is fully loaded and is heading back to Idaho. He is about 1 hour away his destination. I am here with him right now. Did some searching online and found it deals with fuel rail pressure. I have him warming it up to the. I can try some tests with the I tentation software. We have level 1 security access and that is little can do.

I found fuel leaks and the water fuel separator is full of fuel. I call Rush truck service in Boise ID and well, they are worthless. Says the code I gave him means nothing to him and there software will read something different. That is a load of crap ad we have the same software they use but a lower security level. I know it can be limp home but hope if anyone has had this before that had not ran to far from international This motor is the 2 turbo set up. High pressure abd low pressure. Current time:Shoutbox Hello There, Guest! Threaded Mode Linear Mode. Post: 1. Hey guys, I got a check engine light on and curious if anyone has seen this fault before. I have access to Quickserve and Insite. According to the diagnostic tree on Quickserve, first step is to check for other codes active or inactive.

There are no other codes in the system. Boost is normal. All temps are normal. Fuel mileage is normal. I haven't checked anything else out yet.

Just curious if anyone has seen this before and could give me a point in the right direction to cut down on diagnosing time. Hopefully this is the first and last time I have to deal with after treatment issues, as I plan on going Plan C but I do not have anywhere to do it right now.

Thanks guys. Return to Top find. Post: 2. Most of the time it is a bad nox sensor. Post: 3. Thanks guys I had that issue a few months back on my It was my NOx sensors and a split in the aftertreatment wiring harness somewhere. Post: 4. Thanks for the info Unilevers! I was thinking a bad nox sensor at first but figured I would have another code. Something along the lines of "Sensor 1 Fault Plausible".

But that's my automotive brain working. I'm not sure how similar a truck flags faults compared to a car. I'll give it a check out and update if I find anything. Post: 5. Thanks guys Yep, I had the same fault. Rawze told me it was most likely the outlet NOX sensors. But I don't have to worry about that stuff anymore, thanks to them boys from GA. Post: 6. Post: 7. Post: 8. Thanks nilao!!In midfield there are a lot of recognizable names. Joe Allen continues to be a positive contributor for Stoke, having a continued resurgence after his debacle in Liverpool.

Daren Fletcher, who at the ripe age of thirty-three, has started every game thus far for Stoke, which is just impressive. Kurt Zouma has been a fantastic addition on-loan from Chelsea and partners with captain and Stoke City hero Ryan Shawcross.

Erik Pieters, Kevin Wimmer, and Geoff Cameron all also get time across the backline too. Finally, Stoke are very strong in net with Jack Butland. With all of this said though, the Stoke defense has been far from impenetrable this season. Spurs need three points for confidence heading into the Christmas fixture list and just to simply put points on the board. Stoke can be dangerous, but they are a team Tottenham have consistently handled in the past.

Toby Aldwerweireld and Davinson Sanchez will be out, so it will be a greater than usual challenge, but hopefully Spurs are up to the task and get back on track. TV: NBCSN (NBC Sports Live Extra), BBC Radio (UK), TSN4, TSNGO (Canada), Optus Sport (Australia), other listings at livesoccertv.

Poch quelled fears this morning stating that he avoided anything too serious. Victor Wanyama has resumed light outdoor training, which is a big positive. With Dier being forced to the backline, we could really use him right now.

Lastly, Davinson Sanchez will miss out due to his red card against Watford. Maybe Ben Davies slots to the left center-back spot and Danny Rose could feature out left, but that is unlikely. My predicted lineup will be in a 4-2-3-1 formation and will be as follows: Kieran Trippier will play at right-back, Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen will feature in the middle, with Ben Davies at left-back.

Harry Kane will start as the lone forward. Jake Meador and Joel Wertheimer nailed the 1-1 scoreline. With the perfect prediction Wertheimer, a newcomer to the competition, catapults himself into a two way first placed tie with the old Uncle himself. Dustin Menno: I have nothing to say about Stoke, really. Matthew Pachniuk: Spurs have to bounce back, right. Jake Meador: Dr Stoke City will see you now.

Spurs 3, Stoke 1. Pardeep Cattry: Kevin Wimmer v. Son Heung-Min for the first time since their separation means someone will be saying sorry for his team's success at the end. It'll probably be Son. Joel Wertheimer: A full week of rest will do wonders for Eriksen and Kane. Spurs get back to smashing the dregs of the league. Nathan Giannini: Have we ever played Stoke and not won 4-0.
